Europe to Saudi Arabia, getting in and around the Kingdom

As airlines recover from dips in 2020-21 due to travel restrictions; this year, Saudi received an influx of international visitors. Through the Vision 2030 program, the Kingdom is constantly working towards making the trip more accessible and convenient.

Getting a tourist visa is now simpler than ever, eligible travelers can apply through the official site and receive their visa within minutes! This service is currently available to citizens of 49 countries across North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.

Additionally, Budapest-based airline Wizz Air has recently announced the launch of 20 routes from Europe to Saudi Arabia, which will be setting off from Milan, Venice, Vienna, Rome, Naples, Sofia, Larnaca, Tirana, Bucharest, Budapest and Catania and touching down in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. Flight fares will be starting from €54.99 (~207 SAR). This announcement comes after Wizz Air signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi’s Ministry of Investment in a contribution to furthering the goals of the Kingdom’s tourism sector.

Statistics show that one-seat ticket sales from Europe to Saudi had increased x5 between 2005 and 2019 pre-pandemic, with most tickets booked through Saudia; the leading airline in the Kingdom.

Since August 2019, numerous new routes have been introduced between Saudi and Europe:

  • Flynas: Jeddah-Tirana, Riyadh-Prague, Riyadh-Salzburg, Riyadh-Tirana
